Outfit might change but this is what I got right now. The three mostly just wander around hebra/tabantha so it has warmer clothes than my other monster designs.

When that blizzard hit it got separated from the rest of its squad and nearly died from exposure if Estra hadn't found it first. Between the isolation and cold it probably would have defected by accident anyways---which is a Whole Story Thing---but Estra helped save it from both the storm and the calamity first. Thing is, it didn't want to be saved. Living under the malice sucked, sure, but it was easier. Before, it knew what it was and what to do. Now, it's got to face all the awful life stuff on its own. There's a lot of Mettle/Estra arguments that go like "I didn't ask for this!" "Well it's too late now!". Estra slowly badgers it into healing, but Zoe is the missing piece that makes it click for Mettle. If Zoe can come from an awful place doing awful things and still learn to really live, then maybe Mettle can too.
Anyways yeah grumpy cynical thing bubbling over with rage and grief and confusion learning to be ok with itself. Flower growing in the crack of the street. Smiles.
