Alec Jacobs just turned 25 this year, but his past is woven with death and confusion. To Alec, his upbringing in England was normal; he had two parents, Thomas and Lucy, both witches; he had twin brothers five years younger than himself, Zephyr and Daniel. Alec was close and brotherly with Zephyr, who was always kind and gentle, but found himself creeped out by Daniel. Something was just... off... with that twin. If there was such a thing as an 'evil twin,' Alec figured it had to be Daniel. He couldn't even blame his dad for mistreating Daniel because even as a child, Daniel needed to be put in line. He seemed like a danger to himself and others. His parents were good people like that. Thomas was stern but protective and very British; Lucy was kind and warm. Alec enjoys his childhood memories... until he turned 16 and his parents were killed. He doesn't know for sure, but he has a strong hunch it was the evil twin who did it—and Alec had never forgiven Daniel for it. For six years, Alec tried to make it work in England, but the memory of his parents haunted him. He stayed close to Zephyr to watch out for him and finished schooling, but after getting his undergraduate degree, Alec finally decided it was time to start over. At 22, Alec decided to immigrate to the United States, to a place called Briar Creek. He knew the heart of Circle Daybreak was there and he wanted to join up to try and help prevent the war and the end of the world—also figuring they could use a man with some physical prowess on their side. Alec figured it would have made his dad proud, too. Plus, he would be able to be a history teacher at the local high school and teach other supernaturals like himself. So Alec left the twins in the excellent care of their grandparents and moved away to start over. Despite being a witch, Alec tends to live more like a human; magic still has a bad taste in his mouth after Daniel killed his parents with his black magic ways. Alec doesn't know how powerful he is because he used his magic so little in his life. He does, however, have a great mind for history and politics; he knows all there is to know about the prophecies and principles. If he has a soulmate, Alec doesn't know it yet. A few months ago, the twins came to live with him in Briar Creek after their grandparents passed away from old age. It was good to see Zephyr... but Alec's feelings about Daniel haven't changed.
Personality: To most people, Alex is sweet and charming, outgoing and friendly. He loves to make friends and help others. Alec's hobbies include reading nonfiction, working out, training in judo (he's a black belt), working with his throwing stars, and hanging out with Zephyr. Apart from his interest in supernatural and human history, Alec is also really interested in Japanese culture. Alec is a free spirit who doesn't enjoy being told what to do, as he is intelligent and capable of making his own decisions. He also believes that, as the oldest in his family, it is Alec's responsibility to emulate his father and follow in his footsteps. At times, Alec might try too hard in this and loses sight of himself. Alec is very cruel and mean to Daniel. Alec despises Daniel but if he knew the truth about his parents' deaths, he'd change his feelings... but it would take a lot for him to believe the truth.
