Two asks in one day, but do you have any ocs that you haven't shared here?
So I share them occasionally on Bullypinscherart-Haven, but I really need to revamp that account. I’m working on a graphic novel/webcomic about these weird dog things with thumbs that I just call Canids. They live in a disconnected world with several different family groups where travel is almost always fatal and the woods are sentient. The story centers around two familial groups, The Thoringtons and The Beswicks.
The Thoringtons are the biggest family group and also the religious center of this world’s prominent religion. They often take in younger pups and raise them into Patrons of the religion, before sending them off to other family groups. You’ll always recognize the Thoringtons because of the gold embedded in their skin and the flashy jewelry they always wear. The family group next to the Thoringtons are the Beswicks.
The Beswicks are the family that live in the shadows. They’re a smaller family group that are given the ones that no one wants, leading to stays at this group being considered unbearable due to the amount of unusual canids that live there. With very little food and a bad reputation, the Beswicks actually have one of the most important jobs in this world. Caring for the dead.
I can also speak on a few individual characters, if that’s what you’re interested in.
Zora, a younger Thorington that has come to the Beswicks after news of her best friend’s death. A chill, laid back canid who often is given in to peer pressure, though she will not admit it.
Snap, an Unrecognized member of society who resides with the Beswicks. Born a “difficult” child, the canids in charge tried to “fix” her by… messing with her brain. Leaving her with pretty bad head trauma and an even more unstable personality. She was quietly given to the Beswicks.
Allison- Zora’s best friend who was sent to live with the Beswicks for a few years. Rest In Peace.
