This is Ghost, a top favorite dragon oc of an original tribe of dragons made by me. (Bet you can’t guess what her color scheme is based off of)

She is part of a spider tribe, of which I can’t decide what it should be called. The reasons for that are one; eight limbs, two; venom in teeth/fangs (very similar to how a snake injects venom into its victim). The spikes of the back of the head can help to indicate the age of the dragon. Adult age is considered to be 18, which is when the growing of the spikes dramatically slows down. The more spikes they have and the longer they are indicate how old they are.

They have retractable claws, which are very similar to how a cats retractable claws work. To indicate danger, they clack their spikes against each other to create a hollow clacking sound (sounds like when drum sticks are clacked together). The oldest dragon in her tribe is around 150 years old and is the queen (her name is Tarantula, coincidentally).

Every dragon has different color schemes, with practically all of them being in similar colors to spiders (anywhere around the world). Everyone is names after some kind of spider or spider-related natural thing. You can make your own oc’s too, no one’s stopping you! :)
