I have an OC I made for dnd, but I'm afraid I'll never get to play him cause he's meant for more of a modern/futuristic setting.
Meet my wonderful wildmagic rage boi whom I adore: Kveltertak 'Tak' Height: 6'3'' Age: 23 Birthday: September 13 Eladrin Wildmagic Barbarian Backstory: Raised by goblins, he's a rough 'kid' with a good heart despite what local law enforcement might think of him and his family. He's got a brother in arms, so to speak, with the only kid of an affluent family of Tieflings in his home city, through a series of unfortunate events. It was mostly wrong time wrong place on part of the tiefling that lead to the two meeting the first time. And of course, the Tiefling's parents don't approve, but that doesn't stop them. What the future holds in store, who can say?
Vault 144
Some Vaults are known throughout the wastelands. But as you know there are some that remain untouched, lost or unfound to this day. Probably for the best they're never found in case it's a friendly vault. But people still go looking to see if they can find one that's abandoned to call it a new home. Or to others try to find a live one to raid for their goods and whatever else they think they're after.
.
But as usual the rumor goes that there's this one Vault that remains untouched to this day. Vault 144 like the one in Boston it's a pretty friendly place to try and visit so long as you don't give them a reason to fight back. However the Vault remains on the fence unless someone is willing to do trades or if say a somewhat friendly wastelander is looking for a place to stay.
.
That said the vault is said to house regular dwellers wearing the usual classic blue suits. They've even taken in several groups such as former Gunners and a sports loving group called the Blitzers. There are even others such as former Raiders, scavengers and banished Brotherhood Knights that look for a better way of life. But where it's at is unknown that you'll have to find on your own. But my buddy did say that the place of it's origin is somewhere in a place called Arkansas. Said where he lived had mountains & large hillsides that were good for good cover and a peaceful place for shelter and a good place to settle down. So long as nobody go near the ruined cities. Probably where this vault is kinda hidden from prying eyes or anyone who's hunting for slaves. But it's well hidden so most who go looking for it have a hard time finding it unless they want to be found.
.
From what my vault dweller buddy told me. He said Vault 144 was part of a social experiment. If I remember right he said it wanted to study different people of cultures to work together in a peaceful manner. Even centuries later they remain peaceful. Kinda unusual for this type of vault considering of all the cruel rumors of the other vaults I heard about. However they're said to take defensive measures after some major group threatened their way of life and tried to invade their home.
.
Regardless these guys are said to take anyone who's homeless a place to stay so long as they play by their rules and play nice with the other groups who live there. But anyone who breaks those rules or if anyone harms their fellows, they can and will get kicked out by the Overseerer himself. Only good news is if they kick you out, they'll give you some gear for the road. At least they won't send you out to your death at least.
.
Anyway that was all he told me. So if you're ever in the big hills, looking for it. And if you're tired of fighting and want to hang your feet up for good. Keep your prejudice at the door and your pistol in it's holster.
Vait'la "Bloodstained" He'kahl (Vait-law Heh-call) Height: 6'ish Length: 20' stretched out Age: 26 Birthday: October 10th Lamia Monk-Warrior Of The Open Hand
Backstory: As an orphaned hatchling, she was found by an adventurer who brought her back to their guild with them, where they and the rest of the guild helped out raising her. During her time there, she learned much and grew close to one in particular, a high-ranked monk with a gryphon mount. They took her under their wing, so to speak, teaching her what they could and encouraging Vait'la to take on a trade skill as well; after all, there would be times when quests are too scarce to get by on. Vait'la took their advice to heart, studying cartography alongside training as a monk.
Sidenotes, Trivia, and Motivations:
On top of already being white with red markings, when she was younger (4 yrs), Vait'la further earned herself the nickname Black Cherry when she gorged herself on an entire small barrel of black cherries before falling asleep in said barrel. She cried when they had to cut some of her hair to detach her from the sides of the sticky barrel.
When Vait'la finally started adventuring herself, after getting back from one of her jobs, a rookie who was signing up at the desk saw her red markings and mentioned her 'bloodstained' appearance. The clerk helping Vait'la overhears and adds 'bloodstained' to Vait'la's guild card as her title, something that everyone at the guild had been pestering her to choose for a while.
Because of her mentor, Vait'la adores gryphons and other such beasts/creatures; she wishes to create books that function as a comprehensive bestiary of various regions' endemic fauna, including maps of said regions.
Dandelions are her favourite flower.

Tiefling (half Oni and Tiefling)
Monk-Way of the Ascendant Dragon
Hailing from a small, isolated village in the eastern mountains, she grew up and trained with the monks whose temple was a hardy hike above the valley. She'd led a simple life with daily chores, meditation, and training in the martial arts they had to offer. When she wasn't training or helping the giant folk as part of her chores, she could often be found working on small paintings of people and the surrounding landscapes.
But as she grew older, the stories of adventure she had read in her youth seemed to pull more and more at her soul, urging her to set forth on her very own path of discovery. Though she did not want to leave the only family she'd known behind, this wanderlust was too great to ignore, and so she spoke to her master to ask for permission.
As it so happened, there was a pilgrimage that monks of their order used to take up in decades past, though it had not been attempted for quite some time by any. It would be long and arduous, but a journey that would surely help her to grow and become all that she might be destined to.
Journey to all of the temples across the continent, large and small, to share and learn what she could. Then at the end, return home. Her 18th birthday only a month away, she took that time to prepare for the pilgrimage, and for the last week, the village threw a celebration for both her birthday and as a send-off to the start of this brand new adventure.
And at the dawn of the last day, she set off with high spirits and joy in her step.
What will this journey truly hold in store for her, who can say? But surely, it shall be an adventure to remember.

Calil Frankenstein
Height: 5'9"
Age: 19
Birthday: August 11th
Race: Human
Wizard-Necromancer
Calil's mum died when she was 9, and since then it's just been Her and her father Henry.
They lived relatively happily together this way for a number of years until an incident in the lab claimed his life and brutalized his body.
Over a period of time, Calil took what she knew and had learned from her father to patch and preserve the body until she could reattach his soul to it, allowing her to move on to trying to find a more permanent solution.
Since her father's accident in his lab, she's been trying to find a way to restore his body and grant him true life once more. She's pieced it together the best she could, but it's still imperfect.
(I'm currently not sure how she made it work and was able to bind the soul to the body, perhaps some higher power third party who saw what she was doing and aided her? She may not even be aware of the help, though perhaps they made themselves known.)

The gauntlet is silvered for what's likely obvious reasons.
And here are her other, clothing obscured, scars.
Delta Moss
Heights: 4'11''/6'5''
Age: 19
Birthday: April 14th
Race: Feyling (probably elven)-Fey
Druid-River
Born of a warlock and his grand archfey patron, as his first born, she was to be the price for his power. Over the years however, Delta eventually convinced her mother, Lady Aellathera (ay-luh-theer-uh), to grant her visitation with her father; Belthias Moss.
During his visits, she'd revel in the stories he brought. Eventually however, his visits became more sparse. Tensions between him and her mother grew again and whenever Delta asked of her father, her mother would grow distant and quiet.
Though Delta loves her mother, when her mother forbade her from going to visit him and proceeded to close off the only doorways she thought Delta was aware of, that was the last straw.
Packing what she thought she would need for a long trip, Delta left the palisades of the seelie court and with the help of a spurned redcap who was seeking to spite Delta's mother, a pathway was opened and she strode through and into her new adventure as she searches for her father.
As with everything, there was a price for her passage. And though Delta thought that all the red cap had wanted was to spite her mother, it wasn't until after she was through the doorway he'd exacted a secondary price for this favor. The memories of her father's face.

I don't own the first pic here, but it's all I had as a face claim at the time. The following pics below are my work in hero forge.
She's a dual form, which means both the smaller and taller are equally her true forms. She can switch between the two at will!
I've decided to just start posting my OCs here instead of letting them just fester in my discord and/or dndbeyond. (To help keep track of them, I'll be using their names and OC Vault as tags.) Xyren Gender/Pronouns: Non-binary (All) Height: 7'1'' Age: 127 Birthday: October 9th Foreclaimer Gryffon Knight Fighter Backstory: Xyren was born having empathy, a defect by their society's standards, and learned how to mask it from an early age. Similarly early on, thanks to an aptitude test that all forclaimers in their city went through at a young age, it was discovered that Xyren had an affinity of sorts with gryffons, and so was set on the path to becoming a gryffon knight, working with them and learning under the current gryffon knights.
Eventually, they'd begin the physical training aspect to become strong enough for the role, and after they turned 110 and received the surgery that all foreclaimers undergo, they went through a ceremony of sorts where they met and made the bond with a gryffon who became their partner and companion.
Some more time goes by, a number of years, during which Xyren would take up helping the science research folk with field research, taking on missions themself, and also providing escort/security for parties of multiple individuals as necessary.
One day, the city is attacked, and in the confusion of the fray, Xyren's gryffon partner was slain by an errant bullet. The tides of the conflict only got worse, and protocol for them stated to fall back to the labs where they were to defend the area and back up data, and in the event of an impending breach, put themself into stasis via the provided pods.
This is exactly what happened, and so, Xyren put themself into stasis for a set amount of time that they'd be revived at the end of. The time passes and they emerge to find themself still blocked in and trapped within the room, the conflict long since abated.
Unbeknownst to them, they had lost the fight, and so they slowly they start working away at the rubble blocking the entrance. They almost get enough out of the way to get through when a panel from the ceiling drops suddenly and pins them, making them pass out until a certain someone would eventually dig them out and patch them up...
The first five pics are his adventuring gear, and these next ones are her more.. Off-duty type clothes. Yes, that's it.
