Beast Hunter
.
Legends of the Beast Hunter spread far and wide from across the Mojave all the way to the Commonwealth. Rumors of a man named Ranger Troy Mortin who once served in the NCR during the battle of the Mojave region and the Hover Dam. After the lost of his best friend, Mortin left the NCR and traveled far to the Commonwealth to rest his head. He traveled from one settlement to another, but each bit had it's own problems. Such as Washington having bandits and slavers. To Appalach with it's warring tribes. So he decided Boston was the best route.
.
During his travels he gained a new profession outside of his old NCR days. He became a hunter of mutated creatures of all trades. Even lost his good eye to a freaking Yao Guai named Martha who was said to be an infamous terror on the locals. But his favorite profession above all was deathclaws. If you had a deathclaw problem that needed taken care of, the Beast Hunter was your guy to call. And boy does this guy love hunting claws for the thrill. Have a former alpha deathclaw gone rogue? Call the Beast Hunter! A mother deathclaw rampaging through Boston because some dumbass Gunners thought it was a good idea to steal one of her eggs to feed their rich-prick of a boss? Call the Beast Hunter! You name it, he'll hunt it.
.
He even gained plenty of reputation amongst the tribes and towns who know of the Beast Hunter. Even tamed a deathclaw that he raised from an egg due to a legendary rumor he once heard. However over time he even "accidentally" pissed off a few certain others after his pet deathclaw Bessy started eating caravans. Never a good idea to have on your back when trying to keep a low profile. Which is how he got a few bounties placed on his head. Some even try their luck trying to take him and his deathclaw down. Or some idiot mercs push it by trying to steal Bessy's eggs. Regardless they have what the bounty hunters want. And Mortin the Beast Hunter says "fuck that" with a big shotgun.
.
Him and his pet put up a hell of a fight. But sadly like all legends, his came to pass. Not sure how or why but someone managed to face Mortin in his lair. And the two of them fought tooth-&-nail to the finish. Until only the intruder was the victor. Though the Beast Hunter is gone his legend will forever be remembered as the man who fought many battles. The man who hunted every beast in the wastelands.
.
But the hunt is never truly over. Because now a new hunter takes his place.
.
Because even then, war...war never changes...
So I may be a hypocrite

I HATE this man.
anyways I wanted to practice, this is where he’s at the fort. I just didn’t want to finish the rest.
Working on some new stories to share. But it might take me awhile so sorry for the delay here. Not much of a speedy guy.
.
Reasons why I've been taking too long was because I've been making my way to the Mojave Desert Wastes to collect some rumors, intel and whatever else that might sound interesting. But I'll probably have to stay away from the valley since I've been hearing that Brotherhood chapters are fighting it out over something.
.
Anyway just hang tight and I'll have some new tales to tell later.
(Note: Make good later)

"Wild, wild wasteland."
Vault 144
Some Vaults are known throughout the wastelands. But as you know there are some that remain untouched, lost or unfound to this day. Probably for the best they're never found in case it's a friendly vault. But people still go looking to see if they can find one that's abandoned to call it a new home. Or to others try to find a live one to raid for their goods and whatever else they think they're after.
.
But as usual the rumor goes that there's this one Vault that remains untouched to this day. Vault 144 like the one in Boston it's a pretty friendly place to try and visit so long as you don't give them a reason to fight back. However the Vault remains on the fence unless someone is willing to do trades or if say a somewhat friendly wastelander is looking for a place to stay.
.
That said the vault is said to house regular dwellers wearing the usual classic blue suits. They've even taken in several groups such as former Gunners and a sports loving group called the Blitzers. There are even others such as former Raiders, scavengers and banished Brotherhood Knights that look for a better way of life. But where it's at is unknown that you'll have to find on your own. But my buddy did say that the place of it's origin is somewhere in a place called Arkansas. Said where he lived had mountains & large hillsides that were good for good cover and a peaceful place for shelter and a good place to settle down. So long as nobody go near the ruined cities. Probably where this vault is kinda hidden from prying eyes or anyone who's hunting for slaves. But it's well hidden so most who go looking for it have a hard time finding it unless they want to be found.
.
From what my vault dweller buddy told me. He said Vault 144 was part of a social experiment. If I remember right he said it wanted to study different people of cultures to work together in a peaceful manner. Even centuries later they remain peaceful. Kinda unusual for this type of vault considering of all the cruel rumors of the other vaults I heard about. However they're said to take defensive measures after some major group threatened their way of life and tried to invade their home.
.
Regardless these guys are said to take anyone who's homeless a place to stay so long as they play by their rules and play nice with the other groups who live there. But anyone who breaks those rules or if anyone harms their fellows, they can and will get kicked out by the Overseerer himself. Only good news is if they kick you out, they'll give you some gear for the road. At least they won't send you out to your death at least.
.
Anyway that was all he told me. So if you're ever in the big hills, looking for it. And if you're tired of fighting and want to hang your feet up for good. Keep your prejudice at the door and your pistol in it's holster.
