do ur doctor ocs (dr. david, moreau, and candyfloss iirc) have some sort of system for naming their,,, for lack of a better term (/silly), experiments?? Hostages? or are the numbers and letters sorta random
oh i have a whole naming system at least in regards to dr. david n moreau. havent decided for Candyfloss but her inspo also had a naming system (involving numbers n letters equivalent to what floor of the facility they lived on, "treatment plan", and when they arrived i believe)
I haven't solidified anything for Dr. Candyfloss yet, but I know she will continue using names that Dr. David gave to patients transferred to her. Likely uses a similar system to Dr. Kitkat
Dr. David doesn't exactly have a system. His motives for renaming a kid are intended to reflect something he's mocking in them, how he's going to shape them, or simply because he think's its funny. For example, Puppet was named that by Dr. David, who intended for it to be extremely compliant and submissive. Velcro was named that because he had separation anxiety and always clung to people.
Dr. Moreau's is a bit more complicated, they use a full lettering & numbering system.
(Puppet's classification depicted below)
Dr. Moreau classifies subjects by Fear, type, and # of subjects with that previous classification. Certain classifications may look identical due to some Fears having the same first letter. Issues with identification are limited, as their full Fear is in their written catalogue and all Fears have a distinctive "smell".
Dr. Moreau also includes in their written catalogue what usage they have, those uses being assistant (Jabez, Parasite Mouth), tool (Puppet, Chapel), resource (Panther), experiment (majority), and monitored (Julian).
A subject can have multiple uses--- Puppet is both an assistant and a tool; Moth is both a resource and monitored; and the majority of resources are also experiments. Assistants & Tools are inherently also experiments, but may be experimented on considerably less. The majority of subjects normally start out as experiments.
Subject experiment/observatory logs are also organized a specific way.
(One of Puppet's log's numbers)
This is the most basic form of an log. The basic depicted information in this log would be as follows:
This is the first experiment of the third decade with DE36.2 as the central focus. This is DE36.2's first experiment involving A4.13.
The number correlating to experiments involving different subjects does not reset when a log enters into a new decade. If the second experiment involved with A4.13 (A4.13–2) were to occur in the third decade, the log would still be "2.4.# (A4.13–2)"
If a subject's classification changes, it will be logged and log numbers will be switched to use the new numerical classification. The experiment number will not change.
Sub-logs are used to go into slightly greater depth on the basic documentation (most often present in the very initial vivisection log), clarify the order in which new subjects are involved, and, but not limit to, to account for unplanned occurrences. They are usually written as follows:
37.1.1a 37.1.b (And so on.)
I'm using "experiment" loosely and generally here, as an umbrella term. An "experiment" is referring to multiple possibilities, such as a study, an observation, a document, an experiment and others.
Studies involve larger groups of monitored subjects, which reside outside of Montoli Island. Experiments and observations may fall under the study and will be classified as such.
Observations occur on Montoli Island, usually involve a smaller number of subjects, and have limited involvement of Dr. Moreau or unauthorized subjects. Observations may occur immediately after experiments, which may act as a catalyst for an observation. They are usually divided by periods of time, with the length depending on the duration of the observation.
Experiments involve Dr. Moreau in some capacity, usually actively. Experiments account for what actively occurs, and an observation will account for the aftermath as Dr. Moreau sees it.
A document is simply accumulated and written information, usually an agreement between them and mediator, or background information.
this is how dr. candyfloss sounds/talks in my heart
dr. david is probably the most active in terms of how much of his time is spent just. torturing people. he doesnt really sleep or eat or leave wonderland house much. its his hobby and his job and his existence more or less. wonderland house is also far more... not-quite-real compared to the other places
dr. moreau spends a considerable amount of time in their offices working and writing. dr. candyfloss doesnt spend 24/7 in sunshine hospital. sometimes dr. candyfloss will invite dr. david to do something fun together though so he does occasionally go out I Guess
dr. candyfloss is so deceptively friendly its awful. i think of her in the way of a sweet thats so sweet its kind of revolting.
if you only interact with her for short periods, in passing, she doesnt seem bad at all. you might be a little suspicious of her cause she seems too nice but after a little it seems like it's genuine! and well. its not like she's some sneering, mocking doctor like dr. david. she doesn't insult you, she doesnt mock really you. she'll smile at you the same way when you were first admitted to sunshine hospital while she preps the bonesaw, give you a sticker for being such a good patient even if you did scream and kick and thrash, because you wont be able to do that for much longer anyway!
