Devas - Red, brown, orange

Red: What is their fate?

At the end of his extended life Devas is destined to replace Nara the crow god as his successor :3c He does live a long happy life with Melnan both of them along with Alvar leading their country into a new era of prosperity. Brown: What do they have conflicted feelings on?

they are definitely uncertain about their ability to lead others and their country with any type of success.

Orange: If they could change anything in the world, what would they change?

Nothing probably! They are pretty content with how things are oOo

Alvar starts going gray around the sides at like 27 and Devas constantly makes fun of him for it because he looks just like their dad

By the time they are in their thirtys tho I think assuming they have the support and the firm kick in the ass they needs they get their shit together tho.

Sitting down and thinking about it tho the only reason devas and Alvar don't end up as more or less useless in their sandalos timeline is because their parents actually pay attention to them. Granted it isn't much but it's enough that they know that they won't be able to get away with much of anything and Alvar is kept so busy with galas and other political things he's usually forced to keep his witts about him. As for devas his bae is a pest and basicly made him quit cold turkey by hiding his stash and putting him under a paralysis spell every time he tried to smoke woops

I mean really that only applies in the modern day AUs because they are rich kids with Too Much money and free time and a whole lot of stress on their shoulders. But even in their canon settings Alvar drinks more than he should and Devas is addicted to swamp root and they are still hopeless and self descructive but when you are 20some and have a country on the edge of war and everyone looking to you that would be a lot to deal with

Tbh I feel really bad for both Devas and Alvar they are both only 20/22 and they are expected to be these great leaders and have this powder keg of a country slowly being dropped on their shoulders. It's no wonder Alvar shirks his duties and drinks and Devas is irritable and smokes too much. I mean damn I would too

I have such a hard time writing Devas being anything other than stoic ugh. Like he is capable of being emotive but its really rare for him to show his emotions fully?? and when he does it always feels wierd and off to write
