had a really badass idea the other day for my httyd au..!!!
so basically i imagine that (common) night furies don't really live in large groups in my canon. b u t nf flocks (called murders) do exist, even though they're rare. like i definitely imagine some night furies would want the security a murder/flock provides (especially with the increase in dragon/fury hunters over the past couple of decades...,? idk might kinda make this a thing that happened in my canon) even if they're not the most social, and that some night furies simply do like the company of other nfs/other dragons in general.
anyway toothless' grandmother, who i just call biggest scary, is the leader of one of the largest night fury murders/flocks....i haven't really come up with any other night furies that are in this flock but i imagine there's at least like 50+ nfs in it
and like....!! what if there's an abandoned castle hidden away in their territory 👀👀👀👀
AND EVEN THOUGH BIGGEST SCARY IS THE ONE WHO LEADS THE FLOCK MOST OF THE TIME, WHAT IF THE TRUE ALPHA OF THE AREA IS FURY, TOOTHLESS' 1200+ YEAR OLD GREAT GRANDMOTHER......SHE SPENDS A LOT OF HER TIME SLEEPING DEEP INSIDE THE CASTLE........BUT WHEN THE MURDER/FLOCK IS UNDER ATTACK SHE'S FUCKING THERE DEFENDING THEM
basically giant night furies living in castles = cool and good like if u agree
