I love Lala. And Kiké. I want to know more about them, but everytime I try and think of questions to ask everything disappears in my mind. Do you have any facts about them you’d be willing to ramble about?

so i've been chewing this a while and well, i have a few things.

interesting thing about the lala-kiké convo. the finale of season 1 is about the both of them. it was decided not that long ago, when my friend went into a deepdive of folk stories and started telling me stuff to wanted me to add (or consider) and he end up giving the much needed finale epiphany. basically there is legend, la cueva de la salamanca, which is originary from spain, but colonization and everything a lot of hispanoamerican countries end up developing their own versions of la cueva de la salamanca. in argentina, its located in the province of santiago del estero. (note: links are in spanish but i trust the translate, those are the ones i have in my doc). basically, its a cave where the devil (in arg, the zupay), gives classes and offers deals. for the deal, there are three trials to pass it: fight with a smelly red-eyed goat, hold onto snake's rings and defeat a basilisco criollo (our own version of a basilisk).

the point i was going is. the finale. kike goes to the cave. he has to make the desicion of what deal make with the devil, basically he has to choose between the thing he always wanted (stop being cursed) and saving ima, and he would never doubt it. its ima. thats the last episode. but the last scene. there another thing about the cave. people who go through it, leave with no shadow. so the last scene of the season, its kike, shadowless, noticing lala also doesnt have a shadow.

so basically, its the reveal that at some point pre-canon, lala, like kike, went throught the trials and the cave and made a deal with the devil. and now what was her deal? that is going to be part of season 2 (and also i dont know yet). but there is going to be a flashback episode and everything.

also the other day i saw this post and got me thinking about careers/jobs in an alternative universe. and: in a better but still canon-ish universe, lala would still be a monster hunter, but maybe for guidance than full action and kike would sign up instead of business managment to graphic design and he would also drop out of graphic design but he would last longer than he did in canon with business managment. in a perfect normie au, lala would've went to an industrial high school and later became an electrician and kike woule've studied architecture and this is probably the only universe where he actually finishes the degree (he is sooo uni drop out, but also. i can def see him as an architect if his entire life hadnt sucked. so). also lala as an electrician. is just. so. lala as an electrician

also about their names. both lala and kiké are nicknames. kike can be writen as kike, kiké or quique. i prefer the kike/kiké spelling and whether i put the accent truly depends in the mood. i am a doesnt put any accents and lets the spell check do its magic typa writer in spanish bc i always had trouble with accents and also i forget so its more common to see kike than kiké from me (in the script document i have it saved as kike without accent bc i forget so i keep that way for consistency's sake but tumblr/brainstorming doc is truly a gamble). like "kiké" only exists in speaked language, and not written, it can be both.

as for lala. she doesnt like when people call her lala (few exceptions) but i call her lala. not only bc i like it better but also my aunt's name is laura so it feels weird to have an oc named like my aunt. also lala has its flavour. but i find it funny that in scripts, tumblr, planning docs she is written as lala but she does not go by lala and in most dialogue she is refered as laura or lau. the only person that calls her lala is emi.

also random fun facts: lala's sport team is san lorenzo and kiké has a nephew that is only a few months younger than him.

Lala aka The Fake Lioness (name explained here)

Lala is a really annoying person who always makes everything about herself. She is really arrogant on the outside while being insecure on the inside. Despite knowing that people seem to be annoyed by her she doesn’t change anything about the way she talks and interacts with people.

Lala is really proud of her singing and wants to become a musician but the truth is her singing voice is nothing special and definitely not made for rock music.

Arts and Lala used to be friends until Arts cut her off and now she hates him and everyone of her friends who left her when Arts did. She’s been abandoned by the people she thought were her friends while being stuck in an unhealthy relationship with a guy who’s so insecure about himself he keeps manipulating Lala without realizing it.

(this oc is heavily based on someone we used to be friends with for years and yes we’re still very bitter about her)
