I've been drawing icons of my own OCs between commission work! here's Elliot (she/they), M&Ms (they/them), Raven (they/them), and Mallow (he/they)

"So, what do you want?"

Standing inside at the front of the grocery store, Mallow's thankful that the blood splatters on her dress didn't look like she had only recently sat in a pool of someone's blood (blood that, she now knows, is apparently not supposed to be pink and yellow??? how can that thing change someone's blood col--oh shit, move!) as she narrowly dodges getting by someone carrying a huge bag of groceries.

"Hey, watch it asshat--no, not you Finn, just some dickhead who can't WATCH WHERE THEY'RE GOING!" She turns her head to yell out at the idiot (who probably couldn't or wouldn't care to hear her tiny ass yelling) as they walked out of the store and to their car.

Sticking out the middle finger of her one free paw (the other was holding Finn's non-bandaged hand--rush hour hit them and she didn't want to lose him--plus, she learned the hand-holding helps calm him, so yay! physical contact!) She turns back to her new friend and calms herself before explaining: "So! I've got about $128 Dark Dollars, my student ID, and three coupons I swiped from Plum--one that includes 20% off any ham sandwiches this week. I'm going to go grab you some medication and extra bandages for the hand--" her free paw now taking out a small list of medication to buy for healing cuts and inflammation "--while you go grab whatever food you want, ok?"

Scrunching up her face, she puts her paw on her hip and makes sure to really get the point across: "No if, ands, or buts about it--to be frank, you look like a walking skeleton, and based on what I know plus the letters you've sent, you definitely aren't getting anything good from the dumpster. I don't want to hear anything about 'but you shouldn't waste money on me' or anything like that--I am actively choosing to buy you groceries, and no Angel on this fucking planet is going to stop me."

Harsh?

Yes, but from the number of times Finn tried to turn down food (after almost getting mauled and legit having barely enough money, like "dude, of course I'm buying you lunch; 1. you legit almost died, it's the least I can do, and 2. you said you're hungry, and there's a grocery store like three blocks down with killer sushi. What the-No, you don't owe me shit-") as well as what she knows about his life before from the letters he sent to Tenna and Spamton, she had to ensure that Finn knew that “bestie, you need food--I'm taking you to the grocery store, and I'm paying, because you haven't eaten a proper meal in who knows how long, and no way in the seven rings of hell am I letting you starve."

This ended up evolving into "fuck it, I'm paying for all his groceries today," but still. Same intent.

"You need good food to help your body heal--as well, frankly, food in general because, oh my god, you haven't eaten in a solid fucking minute, and I am so concerned for your health--so grab whatever you want, as much as you want, cause me and my student discount are paying tonight, ok?"
