Hihi sorry for disappearing againnn I’m far overdue for an art dump 😅
SAM!! I haven't drawn her in forever. (Okay, I have, but nothing finished/postworthy.) There's a few reasons for that, ranging from navel-gazing personal reasons about the evolution of how butch characters are perceived in online art spaces over the past 2 decades to actual real reasons like "Forever Gold takes up 90% of my creative energy."
I've been toying with the idea of putting her in a new fantasy setting for a while behind the scenes. It's still pretty nebulous and WIP for now, but I'm hoping to chew it into something coherent enough that drawing her feels fun and intuitive instead of a series of questions I have to answer. I have plenty of ideas, but the worldbuilding is still in that state where it's a 1000-piece puzzle and I'm not sure how everything fits together yet.
I feel like I owe an explanation for why I'm moving on from Perigean Tide because I worldbuilt it for so long, but I'm not sure how many people both remember the setting AND care to read a few paragraphs of world-concept eulogy. I guess if one of you cares to hear it you can leave a comment or send me an ask or something.

His familiar is a illusion moth and his expertise is poison and deadly potions, for some reason.

Princess Iris AU is set in a fairytale esque alternate universe where Iris is a fairy princess and Sam is an underground witch.
It's fun seeing what would be different and how would the characters change based on the context of their universe.
