Alice:

Tried to drown people before Nameless and Keva “sealed” parts of her away.

Literally a monster.

Is just a wee thing who couldn’t control herself let her grow up before she is shamed.

Steals shiny things and hoards them.

Cyval:

Knows his games are rigged, doesn’t care.

Greasy carny man.

Thinks he’s smooth, actually comes off creepy.

A shyster.

Jack:

Completely in love with his gross charge in spite of that being a bit taboo.

Very hands-off in terms of /actually doing his guardian duty/.

Doesn’t care the carnival is a giant moving parasite.

Euphorium:

Probably thinks they’re better than you.

Too pricey for most to enjoy the full company of.

Probably only actually friendly to you if you also are extremely gifted in magicks/have soothsayer abilities.

Turtle/Alice:

- Chews on pebbles a lot? She has sharklike teeth and breaking them off literally doesn’t matter. Nobody is really sure WHY she’s compelled to chew on rocks though.

- Eats meat/seafood exclusively.

- Has a really, really pretty singing voice - but has no formal training and can’t much keep a consistent tune at this point in time.

Nameless:

- Pretty sure he has a brother, but can’t quite remember anything about him.

- Not actually a dragon. Not fully anyway.

- Very passionate, even if it’s almost impossible to tell.

Keva:

- Kind of accidentally became head of her own castle. A ruined castle, but a castle nonetheless.

- Has taught Nameless to read/write standard draconic. Working on teaching Turtle too.

- Probably pretty stressed a lot  of the time oops.

23. Do they collect anything? 

Turtle is a little magpie with her need to collect everything shiny omg… you just can’t leave anything out. She keeps cutlery in her room and Keva has to go gather it all the time.

She just can’t help it.

I fucking gave up she’s Turtle ok but

Keva had the sense to give her a proper “legal name”, which is Alice. She spent a lot of time trying to pick one Turtle would agree with but it didn’t go very well so she ended up picking the one Turtle thought sounded the nicest (just not as a name for herself.)

Keva: So, you like the sound of the name Alice?

Turtle: Yes, but my name is Turtle.

Keva: I know, I know - we’ll still call you Turtle, but you also have the name Alice if you ever want to use it. It’s what’s on legal papers, too.

Turtle: I don’t understand. Why do I need a second name? Why is that the legal one?

Keva: Well, sweetie, when you’re older… you might be grateful your legal name isn’t Turtle.
