AFRAID
Tick chibi!
I'm broken
tick the negotiator
but honestly it's not his fault he looks kind of weird but the reaction that most other species (especially humans fuck the humans) have towards him is another reason why he kind of has a somewhat supremacist attitude about his own species i mean guy gets a lot of racism directed towards him
the main awesome things about whatever species he comes from (i feel like i should name them but that's a whole other linguistic field) is that their facial features rearrange slowly over time like the shedding of skin. it's a slow change that you don't really notice unless you haven't seen someone for a couple of months, and then you don't quite recognise them at first. after 8-10 months, it's more or less completely different. ID cards are a pain. also because they don't have fingerprints either because they have suction pads on their fingers (which are usually controllable so you don't stick to everything you're trying to hold, unless you're drunk at which point you just resign to the fate of going home with a beer glass still in your hand) rather than fingerprints.
the suction pad things are useful, especially combined with a prehensile, lizard-ish tale, because it means that he can climb up walls and stuff and chill out on the ceiling if he really needs to. he likes to watch people. he likes to find things out about people. knowing things he's not supposed to know is his favourite.
he's good at negotiation and he's good at getting people to agree to things and he's also very good at blackmail. he doesn't resort to extreme methods unless in extreme situations though. which is sensible, but also a shame, since he got his name from the 'ticking time bomb' experiment, chosen since he has a PHD in torture ethics, history and methodology. which always sounds more impressive than it is, since it's not like you can do a practical exam in something like that - it's just theory after all.
