Angels are immortal beings of light. They cannot be born, they’re created by the gods and function as messengers between the gods and humans. Some Angels have incredible powers.
Angels may be light bringers and humans worship them together with their gods, but they are very close to humans actually. An Angels purity can be corrupted by desires like love, money and power. When an Angel gets corrupted their god will have to take their wings away and send them either to earth or straight into Inan. That depends on what the Angel has done. These beings are called Fallen Angels or Filthy Beings. Angels can even turn into demons. An Angel can also be raised to the status of a god.
Angels are humanoid beings but their, sometimes extreme, appearance distinguishes them easily from humans. Their appearance varies a lot but a characteristic all Angels have is their wings. Every Angel has at least one pair of wings somewhere on their body. The minimum is having 2 wings and the maximum is 6. In most cases the wings are located on the Angels back but they can even be on body parts like the head, legs, chest, shoulders or neck. Some angels have halos, which also vary in terms of color, light, shape, size and number. Most Angels have natural skin- hair- and eye colors but there are also Angels known for having pitch black or red skin, gold or black eyes and hair colors like blue or white.
When an Angel and a human get a child, it's called a Hali or Child Of The Sky. They don't get their parent's status of an Angel, but they have other powers that mark them as not-human, as something special. Hali are usually very sensitive, empathetic and affable people. They get along well with most people and have the ability to see the good in anyone. If they have hateful feelings towards someone or something, it shows in their health, they end up becoming very ill. If they can't let go of that hate for whatever reason, they can even die from it. Hali usually look very much like their human parent, but some characteristics of a Hali are having a very light hair color, light skin, brown eyes and freckles. But their appearance can vary from person to person.
The child of an Angel and a Demon doesn’t even survive birth and even if it did, it would be killed because the love between an Angel and a Demon is the most sinful thing and they will all receive punishment from the gods. The few reports of those children, that exist, say that the child was disturbingly deformed and not recognizable as humanoid.
