Codex: The Dweller
𖤝 The Dweller often appears in the shadows, in numbers they create a diverse array of folks each unlike another. A mysterious Reaper fulfilling a contract in the dead of night. A durable human testing their everlasting valor for the sake of perseverance. A wolf being undefined by their demons. Two unexpected beings joining together for adventure. The choice knows no bounds in the land of Hallowmire. So, who are you?
Now accepting residents for Hallowmire
𖤝 Hi! After spending fifty years in CAS, it's slowly started to drive me up the wall so I figured I'd double the final codex as a way to collect sims for my project! Details will be under the cut so I don't inflict the text wall of doom for everyone ⋆˙⟡

Cute, weird, serious, or unhinged—dealer’s choice
Tell us about your little guy 🖤
Then send this to others you want to know more about their OCs 💌
HAI! thank you for the ask :3 lemme tell you a story about this guy...
─ Buff Oathsworn of the Stonelit Clan ─
𖤝 Buff's father, Volnar ostracized from his family. There's a lot of deeply rooted shame towards his son after certain events. In his eyes, Buff is his biggest failure as he could never get him to own up to the responsibility of being heir to the clan.
𖤝 He's got a scar in the center of his chest left by his ex-best friend, Kor. While initially, the veins around the wound looked like they were black with ink, they eventually were able to get it contained. However, a wound like that leaves really dire repercussions. It's an ache that never quite goes away. He hasn't raged since the incident as he's not sure if his heart would be able to withstand it.
𖤝 His best moment was defeating the night gaunt. As the party was trying to recover from being under the influence, on death saves or if you were Bone, dead in general, Buff was up against a really powerful creature. In those final moments, he summoned really cool spectral branches and threw the night gaunt onto a trap in which it met it's demise.
𖤝 Buff's whole character arc has revolved around breaking his own cycle and taking ownership. He's quiet most of the time, allowing Bone to do all of the talking, but this behavior isn't new. Never the one to truly be seen, always the one to disappear. But the past follows, and it follows closely behind, forcing him to step into the light and confront his past. As messy as it may be...
𖤝 he's died about four times now and i fear next session will be the fifth as he is butt neked with some necromancer cultists- please get him a bulletproof vest
𖤝 he is 7'5 OuO he tol orc
𖤝 Speaking of Kor, he has a lot of conflicting feelings towards him. They didn't end things in the best of terms, it was the final argument he had before leaving his home and it was so bad that he just aimlessly ran for hours. Buff is trying to forget. Just another person he's failed. Kor on the other hand, has been hunting this man and essentially killed him twice. (Juicy !)
𖤝 Adding to the aimlessly running and events that happened afterwards (jfc this dude's lore), he didn't rejoin society until a few months passed by. In his solitude, Buff felt like his mind was splitting between the silence and the words repeating in his mind. The only comfort became his routine: eat, sleep, hunt. Over and over until he stumbled upon the tree Yggdrasil.... And that's where we'll leave it as it's the mythology I'm currently studying and how applies to his story and dnd subclass OuO something about life and death and rebirth.... man the story truly writes itself atp

I've done my research, me right now:
OKAY HERE WE GO
For Buff! cause i want to know more about him :D
What scenario might test their convictions?
2. What is the biggest crime your OC has committed? Are they a theif, a cheat, a liar? What is the smallest, most petty crime they’ve committed? Or do they not do crime at all?
3. What makes your OC impatient? What can’t they wait for? Why?
4. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?
For Violetta:
Do they get angry/lose their temper quickly?
2. Are there any rumours about your OC hanging around? Nasty ones or just good humoured? Got any gossip to share about them? 👁👁
3. Does your OC have any quirks or habits? Do they whistle without noticing it? Do they chew their fingernails? Do they realize they’re doing these things? Do they care?
4. If you were to choose another name for your oc, what do you think it would be? Did you choose it for how it sounds or for its meaning?
For Oxalis:
1. What are the most painful words that can be said to your OC to utterly break them? What are the words that you could tell them to cheer them up?
2. Does your OC like flowers? What are their favourites? Do they keep a garden of some sort? What flowers would they use in a flower crown?
3. What does your OC do for a living? If they don’t have a job, then what do they usually do?
4. Does your oc prefer being in a crowd or being completely alone? How many people can be around them before they get uncomfortable?
i hope this isn't too much jsjs i also wanted to add some questions for caleb, but if you want me to i'll do it lol
HALLO! AH YES the mature ask i received that i will answer! thank you for the ask btw :D
Buff Oathsworn
What scenario might test their convictions?
OOO this is such an interesting question because he's a Paladin now so there's this desire to deliver justice. However, justice is tricky because how do you determine what is good or bad? Is that even a true concept? He shows no mercy to the wicked especially if they have wronged the helpless, but what happens when that face is of someone you used to be friends with? As of late, he finds himself constantly tested.
What is the biggest crime your OC has committed? Are they a thief, a cheat, a liar? What is the smallest, most petty crime they’ve committed? Or do they not do crime at all?
The biggest crime was being wanted for a murder of four. (To be fair-) Contrary to popular belief (by the law), he isn't one to engage in crime. In what I would call phase two of his character arc, he would typically spend the day completing tasks for money, drowning his sorrows in a drink or trying to keep Bone out of trouble. As of late, he seems to be getting framed for stuff that he SWEARS is for the greater good those dudes were zealots soft launching the end of the world-
What makes your OC impatient? What can’t they wait for? Why?
He get's impatient when enemies outsmart him, usually is when he'll enter into a blinding rage. He doesn't like to lose and especially hates to stay inactive in the face of nefarious machinations. Besides that he is pretty mellow and goes with the flow.
What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?
He is also dyslexic LMAO! I didn't include in his backstory that he couldn't read, and his stats don't support that however, it is taking him a really long time to read a book because I keep rolling below an 8! Also I'm constantly surprised at his perseverance in spite of all of the adversity, it's not at all how I'd expect things to go!
+ the rest under the cut :3
