Ruru’s really excited to be able to hug their friends! They want to give as many hugs as possible while they’re still able! They can still easily cuddle as an azurill, but there’s something very special about being able to put their arms around other Pokemon!

A big ol’ Howdy to you too, my lil’ genie friend! Thank ya kindly for complimentin’ my bandana! This lil’ ol’ thing is quite special to me!
See, the bandana was one of the first ‘human treasures’ I found as a lil’ sandshrew in the desert. The darn thing blew right into me in the middle of a sandstorm! Probably slipped right off a trainer on account of all the wind, which meant that the honorable thing would’ve been to seek out the owner to return it…but…I just couldn’t give it up. It was green, I was green…I was spellbound!
Oooh, it’s hard to put the emotions into words, but I s’pose you could say that this lil’ rag gave me a spark o’ confidence…permission to be proud of my appearance instead of feelin’ embarrassed all the time. Sure my odd coloring made me stand out worse than a magikarp on a cloud…but that was a difference that I was allowed to embrace with claws wide-open!
Now I’m an honest mon, but even if the owner had come around, odds are I wouldn’t have given it up. The second that ol’ bandana flew into my paws, I grabbed it tight, clutched it close…

How do humans read these darn map things anyways, all the deserts look the same from up here! Gimme a sec now, I can figure this out! I've gone a wanderin' through many regions n' all their sandy spots in my travels, but I'd know home by the feel of the sand between my claws. Sand is just somethin' you don't forget!
