I'm having a bad day so far but I have a pumpkin spice latte and Allyson is coming over to do web design shit w me and tonight I'm going to a burlesque show with Zoe so if I don't feel better soon I'm going to be mad

me and Zoe went to the poetry open mic then we played foosball with our little round chapstick container globe thingies cuz there was no ball

also i like painting in the semi-darkness/natural evening light cuz like you can see what you're doing but then you look at what you made in full lighting and you're like WOAH THIS IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT COLORS THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS BUT ITS OKAY BECAUSE IT STILL LOOKS COOL

the show last night was GREAT we missed btbam though cuz we had a little bit of an issue finding the regency ballroom and then with finding parking (sadface) (their set was shorter cuz they were the opener) but Meshuggah was freaking AWESOME and they ended their set with Mind's Mirrors/In Death - Is Life/In Death - Is Death as an encore and it was fucking perfect

we got to stand right next to the stage and then on the balcony front & center and then we ran into the mosh pit in the middle of everyone right at the end as everything was climaxing. we were proud to be the "very small girl" representation in the largely muscularly-built metaldude pit.

also Zoe headbanged like a fucking bamf with her long-ass metal hair and she got the pleasure of getting a bloody nose in the pit

it was completely worth it and just walking around San Francisco is always super nice, i'll just have to go to a btbam show some other time

oh yeah also there was a very large fan at the balcony and we hugged it because it was cool and nice
