I knew I was getting sidetracked today. It's all those shiny things. I wanted at first to talk about senseless stupid sanctions outside of wartime, that only radicalize populations when they get hungry and desperate, but this headline grabbed me instead (see below). The UN Security Council has been emergency convening. Here's a suggestion: BAN PMCs (private mercenary companies). Right there, you'll have less chaos. This idea of dispossessing your actions by using proxies in war just SUCKS. PMCs should be accountable to the same laws as their clients - end of F'G story. The world has had enough. Back to Palestine, there too the world has had enough of this neverending quagmire. It's the Holy Land - make it so. DEMILITARIZE for f's sake. See how much hubris is left when you level the playing field right there. Only the old generation wants war, or haven't they noticed. People want to live their lives. They don't want trade wars, blackmail by sanctions and then military "interventions" to protect economic interests. That has NEVER been a real premise for occupying foreign countries. Get out and stop infringing on their sovereignty. I may not understand economics a lot, and free markets, but one thing I know: THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN RISK INVOLVED. Take your bloody chances. The entire financial market thrives on risk and superstition. So don't tell me that controlling other countries' ressources is your personal national interest - IT'S THEIRS, unless you want to tell us something. Enough outrage now. 2021. That's my guess, mentioned elsewhere. God is not listening to world leaders when probing about justice. He's consulting with the crucified. I recall now, this Facebook post I saw about Lindsey Graham saying something to the effect that God was not going to ask him about convicting Trump, and the punchline was "What makes him so sure he'll be speaking to God?". Meditate on this.

Diana Buttu sums up my thoughts on the matter. I would only add that its time for a UN vote to declare Jerusalem a world heritage city-state, and that Palestine should be restored to a mixed religious, multicultural country. With Jews in it, naturally. Its time to curb white, identity and religion based nationalism.

Playgirlz is, in fact, 100% Japanese (maybe some Korean words scattered in). I can tell just by hearing at this point, but I’m pretty sure that’s the case with every Japanese album release. There’re a good many new tracks, though, unlike Jewelry Box.

Good to know! I'm still new to this stuff and TBH can't really tell the difference yet, except in a few cases where I recognize a Japanese word or something.

May I recommend some? Patrick Heller’s The Labor of Development (re: Kerala), Myron Weiner’s The Child and the State in India, and Ronald Herring’s Land to the Tiller (re: South Asian agrarian reform). Also, any Amartya Sen and Jean Dreze stuff.
