A student demonstration outside a public hearing on a tuition led to officers with batons pushing a line of students back and hitting them.
Occupy is spurring up movements everywhere. This one is held at my school, Baruch College, to protest the upcoming CUNY tuition hikes outside the CUNY Board meeting.
How much is the hike? I don't know it's CUNY so it's like $200 or something, which is such a substantial amount (sarcasm for those of you that can't read in between the lines). But anyway at least our generation is getting a taste for political activism, maybe someday (if this feeling and mindset is REAL) then maybe we can move on to real issues (like Eygpt?).
