I agree with almost everything about the academy boys, but in my head (maybe only in it, and I also deny reality, who knows), some time has passed since then, and as I wrote earlier, at least Pecco clearly has a little more to say (two championships after all, it even seemed like would be three and yes, it's awful but Valentino's retirement has clearly affected this dynamic, he clearly has less power now, he no longer motogp rider, and this is a priority of importance in their cases). Therefore, it seems to me that he could have done a little more, he is certainly not as free in actions and statements as Luca, but he's clearly having authority now (after all, he's in a ducati and he's winning).
I can even imagine him arguing with Vale about all these mental games with Marc. And Pecco, perhaps after the defeat (maybe not even the first one, he's clearly enraged, maybe Valentino even manages to get out in the press, well, you know, in his style, accusing Marc of everything), defensively tells him something like "I'll be faster and I’ll win, I don't need all these shitty mind games to win him, it will be a fair fight, I won't do what you do" and oops.
But yes, it is unlikely that there will be an open confrontation, even this conflict is likely to be resolved by both of them.
Although I may be wrong, I think the last season and his defeat clearly undermined Vale's favor and maybe things get worse. In any case, yes, there are obviously complicated things going on in his head (attempts to divide things into honest and hate, his attack on Alex still haunts me, maybe when it happens to Marc, his «hate Marc agenda» will explode like a nuclear reactor and everything will freeze in its path.)
To be honest, I wanted to describe Franky as someone who just prefers to stay away from all this because he is very wise to such games, YES - "Not my monkey not my circus" sounds perfect.
I don't know how to convey this exactly, it's a little hard, I sincerely believe that Vale and Luca love each other and their close sibling bond is really strong, but sometimes it seems to me that Luca sees Vale as, like, well, you know, the light through the cracks, you perfectly described it in * gone poking around because I forgot the name * I am trying so hard (another great thing that I reread from time to time), as a person who, well, I hope this doesn't sound rude, is suffering from an illness and this is your loved one, someone you admired all your childhood, but now he's sick and not trying to heal and you're trying to help him, but he doesn't seem to fully understand how this poisons his life and only makes it worse (in his head, he may even think that just moment of weakness and a little sadness, he's fine, but of course he's absolutely not) - I hope it makes sense.
So, there is love and a lot of it, such things do not disappear, but when you suffer so much from those to whom you owe so much and to whom you are so attached, the pain from their actions (sometimes really cruel actions) cannot but make your heart at least cool down a little.
That's probably what I mean by confrontation, because only Luca sees how Valentino is defenseless and suffer from it, so Luca tries to put pressure on it and it helps. He pushes because he loves Vale, and it's probably pretty rude sometimes, because Vale clearly doesn't want to dig into it. And he shrugs it off and tries to avoid it. Will he stop loving Luca for that? Never. Does he allow him that? Always. I even think that after everything (after the reunion), Vale will even love him even more. I want to believe that he will even find the strength to be grateful (God knows it's TERRIBLY difficult for him).
But for now. YES, YES, YES!!! confrontation talk. It's a torture that Vale doesn't want to accept, so Luca becomes a kind of threat in his head, too. Then complicated conversations that make him really think, and even I think he wants to escape, he can't because it's, well, Luca. He really loves him. It's a part of his soul which cannot be discarded, that you can't ignore.
I am absolutely happy to receive an answer at any time, even after two hundred years (I hope this whole long tirade doesn't look like a fit of madness in your eyes, I'm trying to joke, but I hope it's really not frighteningly strange). Thank you so much for your answers🌹. (I really hope I didn't bore you with my chatter😖🙏)
Oh that's an Intresting view on Pecco like that he has some kind of authority with which I totally agree. Like Vale couldn't throw out a literal motogp world champion without causing a public confusion. Because as far as I know there as at least been 1 boy that has been thrown out the academy and that was because he had an aggressive and dangerous style but like as in hitting the kill switch on someone's bike while riding (Romano Fenati but I'm not very familiar with all the riders that were in the academy at some point) And I can see him denying the mind games. But tbh I think/hope the mind games next year will be bad. Especially cause Marc has that stlye if pulling mind games that aren't really mind games so I'm curious how Pecco is going to handle that. And I honestly think that explosion with Alex really Intresting looking back. Because lets be real. That was a shitty move. And I don't mean the crash I mean going into the press and not just hating on ONE person but on the whole ass family??? And not just ANY family but the Marquez family? After everything that happend? Honestly it felt like Pecco was just using everything that Vale had structured for years that he until than had ignored, that had been laying on ice for years and just using that. Yes he backed down and apologized which is good but still. I am so sure Vale smirked when he read that statement.
And yes the description with Vale and Luca makes perfect sense I agree. Like Vale is like teh broken hero Luca is trying to fix. In a way. But he can't. And idk that Luca is trying to help Vale kind of gives me "I'll call your mom" kind of vibes from Noah Kahan. Basically the meaning behind it is that someone calls someone parents to infrom them that their child is not doing okay and needs professional help. Many end up hating the person that called their mom or any kind of professional help because they believed they can handle it on their own. And Luca is kind of calling their mom but in that moment the confrontation is more tbe calling the mom part. Like Vale doesn't want to face it like that and stay in his delulus to justify his own behavior and not having to face the reality that he fucked up and hurt someone. Many actually but he needs that wake up call to keep living.
Idk if that makes sense. It's badly explained I fear cause I don't have lots of time atm, so sorry if this all seemed a little rushed and is full of spelling mistakes. My hands are shaking too much, anyway. If this seemed rush trust me it's not cause I don't wanna yapp about all that cause I do bit it's cause I don't have much time but I REALLY wanna answer you. Anyway hope the I call your mom methapor makes sense. And thank you so much for your view I love hearing other people's analysis it helps me seeing people/ characters from another view and understanding them better!
And no worries about scaring me off it takes a lot more than taht!
