I don’t think I’ll be able to post chapter 12 of Ocean Impulse today like I had planned. I was hit by a migraine that proceeded to make me a rather ill-functioning member of society. Hopefully I can get it out by tomorrow though!

I am only now coming to the realization that Soundwave might’ve done better as a squid rather than an octopus. Hm.

After chapter 12 of Ocean Impulse is posted (on 14/8) I’m wondering if I should take an extended leave to work on some full on editing. I originally planned to work on it after I finished it — and I believe we only have 5 more chapters left — but now I’m thinking otherwise.

When should I edit my fic?

(And because I feel the need to explain — I had originally planned for it to be a simple, roughly 10k MerMay fic. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish it in time, but I decided to posting it anyway, and plan to workshop it from there. And then it just ended up getting severely out of hand, and now I have a full on longfic, but that also means, because I was updating as I went, I didn’t have any time to edit, so it’s currently got a lot of mistakes. I want to make it a good experience for myself and my readers, so I’d really like to work on it, but now I’m just not sure when. Anyway, sorry for the long tangent.)

I wanna apologize beforehand because it seems like the latest chapter for my fic might be delayed. I hope that’s not the case, but I’m just warning in case it does (could be posted on time, later that day, or maybe even tomorrow. Again, I hope it doesn’t come to that)

I’ve decided to switch my writing program to Ellipsus, and the fact they have a mermaid theme is literally so perfect for me lol
