I love hearing hc about Magus' appearance, it's fascinating how many different hc we can all come up with as various fans! That's so fascinating that you've linked it to the same spell used on Glenn, it's so fun to think about!
And now that you've mentioned the similarities between the Ocean Palace and Magus' Castle, I went and looked at screenshots of the two and I can literally see your hc coming to life!! The altar and the mammon machine look so similar, perhaps adding on to your hc Magus is trying to simulate the mammon machine through the altar and his chanting based on his limited knowledge of the ocean palace incident? I also love how both have those eerie statues everywhere!

Is there a chance that you can create your own take on various zones and locations from the games? Just like how Station Square and Mystic Ruins gained more interesting lore and inhabitants! Maybe try the Ocean Palace from Sonic Heroes ?
We don’t have plans for Ocean Palace at the moment, but we would like to explore now places on Mobius, and we definitely have plans for other game locals.
