Where: Private Pond on the property of Kings Castle, KingsHill
Being back home felt kind of new and slightly terrifying. She didn’t expect the place she grew up in to feel so different from what she remembered. Then again there were a lot of things she hadn’t expected to happen. Like Northland basically taking control of her home and handing it over to a business. She didn’t really expect to meet the woman either but she was, and she was nervous about it. Even though there were many supporters of her to take the throne, Aila didn’t know if that was best. What with finding out about her new self, she was really unsure if she was even a good candidate anymore.
It felt as though she couldn’t breath as she sat on the dock dangling her feet. Her chest tight as she skipped pebbles across the surface. She had grown up playing in this pond, it felt distant and somewhat like a lie. A tail had never sprouted then. Why would it now? It didn’t make sense. She was startled by a sudden splash of water and her head jerked up to see Beau. Her eyes wide as she watched her, “you... you have one too?”
She stood up pointing down at the scales, “how.. what... what are you?” She wasn’t alone and a part of that scared her even more. There were more people like her, but apparently she hadn’t known about them. At least not as more than a legend, a fairy tale she was told as a kid. She stood there some what accusatory, before taking a breath and diving in herself, before resurfacing, “I need to know about what you are... because whatever it is, I’m one too. I haven’t been one all my life and then suddenly, I’m sprouting this.” She said exposing the fin of her tail.
