“Alright, I love you.” bonnie foster x annie simmons
Bonnie Foster was flopped across the entire couch, watching as Annie paced back and forth in the kitchen through the small doorway. The pair had made plans for a lazy Friday night in watching movies over a week ago and, normally, her cousin would have left her phone in another room. For some reason tonight she’d jumped to her feet and hurried out of the room when her phone started buzzing.
Annie paused in the doorway, holding up a finger to indicate she’d be back in a minute to Bonnie. The grin plastered across her cousin’s face was different than most smiles Bonnie had seen before which made Bonnie wonder exactly to whom she was talking.
“Alright, I love you…” she heard Annie mutter quietly into the phone. Bonnie shot straight up, eyes wide. “I’ll text you tomorrow. Bye.”
“Who were you talking to?” Bonnie nearly fell off the couch trying to scramble across the room to her cousin and snatch away her phone. Annie was too quick, pulling it out of Bonnie’s grasp.
“No one!” Annie assured her, though the same grin was still plastered across her face. Bonnie made a grab for her phone again, narrowly missing.
“Is no one who is making you smile like that?” Bonnie accused, pointing at Annie’s face. If possible, Annie’s grin only grew wider.
“You have to tell me,” Bonnie demanded.
“Its just… its new and we’re so happy and its not like I’m embarrassed or anything… I just… I don’t know. I don’t want to make a big deal or anything,” she paused. “But it’s kind of a big deal.”
“Yeah. An ‘I love you’ kind of big deal, clearly!”
“Bonnie, stop!” Annie was blushing. Bonnie grabbed her cousin’s hand and pulling her onto the couch next to her.
“I promise I won’t tell a soul. Even Alan,” Bonnie assured her. Annie bit her lip and took a deep breath.
“Okay… so you’ll never guess who showed up on my doorstep last weekend…” Annie began.
