My family awaits the week of the 4th of July every year because we know our annual beach trip is right around the corner. Our trip begins when we start to load up our beach cars and umbrellas into the trunk of my dads truck and then loaded up the golf cart onto the trailer and then head down to Oceanlakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach. Once we reach the gates of the campground you can already hear the music blaring from the golf carts and it’s no longer than 10 minutes until you hear the most popular song to ride along to on the beach, “Chicken Fried”. These beach trips and this song sparked my love for country music.
