ISRO launched PSLV’s longest flight SCATSAT-1 on Monday for ocean and weather research. The rocket weighing 320 tons, carrying eight satellites, took off from the launch pad at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. This launch is said to be the longest mission by ISRO spread over two hours and fifteen minutes. With the success of the mission, it is clear that ISRO is sure to cut costs drastically and the future for Indian Space research seems bright.
