We've elevated Ockham's Razor into Ockham's Chainsaw, which is 'If you can possibly cut it away and still have it stand, do it!'

For those that don't know, Ockham's Razor is something like:

If you have more than one explanation for a phenomenon, the simplest explanation is the most likely to be true.

Along these lines, Haidt thinks it's misguided to attempt to describe our intuitions about Morality using a single moral principle.
