Original Character October day 5: Sygdom, undead drow... paladin, surprisingly!

Hey, here’s Sygdom! The character whose name I ended up using online! The same guy! He’s been with me for a good while, so getting to draw him again is always fun times. He’s getting teethier and spookier with every drawing, which is -of course- a good thing. I can’t actually reveal too much about his role on my campaign currently: All they know is that now that they retrieved Vest’s staff, he’s coming after them.

Now, there’s the issue: Vest thinks Sygdom is his real dad and not his adoptive one. And he knows his real father killed him, but isn’t aware a certain someone messed up with his memories. Let’s say his actual dad has some interest in making Vest (And of course, Laestis) to end Sygdom’s life in his place. There’s some sure drama coming. The fact Sygdom has been undead for 1000 years and can’t even speak clearly isn’t gonna make this family meeting much easier, either.

this actually was supposed to be a pretty sad day for me, but as it turns out it’s not gonna happen for while longer so im good lmao

a barkeeper and a total crybaby. he’s not particularly shy, but a little awkward nonetheless, and he tends to shy away from stressfull situations. he, of course, mostly wears clothes, i just like drawing kemono animals in the nude cause they’re cute lmao

he doesn’t live in a furry-only world but in one with all kinds of species and serves all of them at his little bar!

no long backstory for this guy since i’m not fully happy with his design yet, but oh well lmao crybaby barkeeper kitty

Original Character October day 2: Jorven Sylvatell, watcher druid! 

Last year I didn't quite draw too many watchers for ococtober. Let's fix that! For day 2 I bring a NPC my players have known for quite a while. This helpful bean runs an ambulatory library, which my players can summon through a fancy magic ring. Despite being incredibly shy and nonverbal, they do their best to assist around and fetch them some books coming directly from Olath'Sol, a mysterious drow woman they still haven't met.

I wanted to keep the style for these consistent, but in the end, I ended up practising something else. The style here is heavily inspired by a certain game- Do you recognize it?

Original Character October day 6: Arcien Yu'Yden, tiefling wizard! I wasn't going to include Yden, but a friend offered printing something in a cloth bag due to some class-related activity, so- Well, here's them! Again! Ominous as always. One player joked about how they look like a warlock patron. Funny how that is, huh?- Yu'Yden showed an unknown side to them towards the end of the first act. A battle against some Ghardan extremists required slighty less peaceful means to fix things, and long story short, they found out he has the Desintegration spell. Needless to say, that's been a cause for some concern. Still, they're still helping the group, so- Nothing to worry about, right!?

Original Character October day 4: Osten Sygdom, tiefling... warlock? Trust me, this ain't Vest! Better than Vest, in fact. Osten is his twin brother, who sadly died quite early on and was one of the major reasons Vest kinda couldn't keep it together. While the official version was some sort of terminal illness, there was way more to it: The result is that he didn't truly die but became undead, and was tied to the staff Vest wielded much later. Osten tried to help his twin even when undead, but did his best to not reveal his presence, knowing his sibling wouldn't be able to fully process it. And boy, when it finally got revealed, things went south. Vest made some desperate attempts to find the truth on this all. When he finally found out what happened with Osten and why, his staff was taken away by his father -who he fought trying to fix the whole business with his twin-. He'd survive that match (albeit with the crystal corruption). His second attempt to fight him on, however, would end up with Vest's death. Also, just an aside- Osten himself hasn't appeared in the campaign, but the memory of him is still around Vest's mindscape. Lae met him briefly! He's got this whole underwater theme, mostly because -according to Osten- being undead is just as if you were constantly drowning but you couldn't quite die.
