“Dr. Eggman found the fossil of an ancient creature. With his technology he has revived it, with the aim of controlling it and thus getting rid of Sonic. However, Eggman never understood that sometimes nature extinguishes beings to balance life. Eggman has paid the price, and now, totally loose, this creature has begun to create chaos and eating all life forms, leaving Amy as the only survivor of her team… although not for long. It shows no mercy! It will stop at nothing! It does not devour, it drinks its victims alive, leaving only a bloody skeleton! Behold! This is the terrifying power of Octalus!”

Hello, people of Tumblr! How have you been in all this time? As always, your friend Rankakiu hopes very well. On this occasion I share with you a dark drawing, which participated in a dynamic created by my friend Rattah. The drawing in question is Amy, being ambushed by a monster called Octalus, the same one that appeared in the movie "Deep Rising", from the year 1998. I hope you like it!

Our adventure begins in a roadside Motel. The lads are taking a breather between "cases". James is sitting at the laptop scanning searching the local news stories for something of interest. Blake and Jayson are kicking back listening to the local classic rock station and sipping beers. Enjoying the time off to recuperate.

James stumbles upon news of a high school in Alistair, OH where a few students and a teacher disappeared while within the school. Reports has it that the school is haunted and weird things have rumoured to be found there; seaweed on the floor. Our heroes decide to investigate the matter and will leave in the morning. On that note, James decides to grab some burgers since he is hunger and the lads prepare to go out and eat.

As James opens the door he is ambushed as a huge claw attacks and he receives a mortal wound. Claws rake down his torso and he stumbles back and falls to the floor, blood leaving his body like passengers on a sinking boat. Momentarily stunned by this Jayson and Blake stare in disbelief and then grab their weapons as the beast claws it way into the room and all hell breaks loose. Jayson recognizes the creature as the werewolf from their encounter with it, it must have tracked them to this location with their scent. They end up finally killing the creature but taking serve wounds in the process. Jayson and Blake grab their gear and head out leaving James behind as sirens could be heard approaching.

Our heroes drive a while and then stop at an abandoned farm to lick their wounds and heal up some, and decide what they are going to do next. They decide to go to Alistair, OH and investigate the high school while mourning the lose of their friend, James.

Alistair, OH (Populaton 1,000) is a dying town, it lost the saw mill a few years ago, and the Soda plant closed several years before that. Some people managed to get by. The High School was built in the 40's replacing the original one that burnt down from unknown circumstances.  The style of the school is 40's, it's a one floor building with several classrooms and an a new addition build in the back where the gym/pool is. It's late in the afternoon when our heroes arrive at town and head to see the high school, they pull in and proceed in at the end of the school day as the students head for home after a hard day of learnin'.

They are greeted by Principal A. Graham who is expecting them, our heroes were hired on as substitute teachers (fixed by one of their associates who established their credentials and hacked the computer for them). Graham is excited about having "new blood" in the old school system and shows them around the school. While there they see a janitor mopping up down the hallway, it looks like blood. But the principal scoffs saying one of the lads in the art department got a little carried away with the red paint.

Afterwards, Jayson and Blake head out to discuss their next course of action. They decide to dine at a restaurant which they search the newspapers and talk with a waitress and learn that two teachers had left last week and the funny thing about it is that they just took off leaving their purse and belongings behind. This evening a football kid is missing as well since he was suppose to be at practice after school and never returned home.

Next booth over a group of kids are in discussion and suddenly they leave saying "Let's go for it, what's the worse that can happen" and head out to their car and take off. Jayson and Blake finish their meal and head to the hotel they are staying at and prepare for tomorrow when they enter the high school as substitute teachers.

It's the dawn of a beautiful new day and Blake and Jayson decide to head to the school early and check the agenda planner to see what they have to teach. They arrive at the school at 5:35am and notices the car that the teens from the diner drove off in is sitting in the parking lot. They go into the school prepared, sensing something amiss and meet up with the janitor. Whose wheeling his bucket through the hallways and wants to know why Jayson and Blake are there earlier. They notice that the skin of the janitor is withering. Blake panics and brings out the shotgun and blasts the janitor; who those reveals to be some sort of giant eel-like creature with mouth like tentacles (an Octalus actually).  The creature rips into Blake but perishes as it gets shot up by our heroes. 

Their is also a huge roaring echoing from the pool/gym area as the Octalus-hybrid is slain. Jayson and Blake put the pieces of the puzzle together and discover the missing people are claimed and fed to a bigger creature that is kept in the pool. And thus a battle royale, Jayson comes up with an idea and heads to the science labs and rigs up some sort of explosion if they should happen to fail miserably before they head to the gym and fight the mother of all battles. It's a bloody battle indeed as the creature erupts through the gym floor (since it's under the pool) and our heroes pour everything they got into. Jayson blows out the creatures eye, which enrages it more. After being picked up and tossed around like ragdolls our heroes finally take the huge beast down (though they seemed like they were being put down for the count) and fleeing the school just moments before the explosion rocks through the school and takes it down.

Jayson and Blake stand outside the school watching it burn as sirens approach; fire trucks, police and paramedics attend to the scene. They relay the story that they came to the school wanting to get a good start on their first day and noticed something strange, the janitor was smoking as he was moping up the floors and when they went to warn him about it he ducked into the science room and then whammo! It seemed a gas line broke.
