J'ai vécu le machin - Crystalo-Stendhal. C'est moi la Chartreuse de Parme. J'en ai vu de toutes les couleurs : le transparent, le pur taché, le rose et le violet, le bleu persan, le vif-argent, et le turquoise profond.
The Grand Festival venue is amazing!! And all the commands are just too cute!! I am very happy with the effort for Splatoon 3's final splatfest and having fun with all the concerts!! I'm going to miss it for sure!
I don’t have a lot of time to grind in splatoon but I am trying so hard this season cause I’ll be devastated if I don’t get the snazzy annaki anchored coat. 😭
So I don't usually use my blog as, well, a blog, but something happened at the trainstation and then bus that I wanted to just write down. I don't want to forget what happened and all that. It's awfully long and personal so feel free to move on 👍
I met a fellow autistic today at the train station, and she asked if I was looking for the same bus she was. I was. She immediately told me that I was very pretty, that I could be a model, and I of course thanked her and said she was pretty too. She disagreed, said she could never be as pretty as me. Even when I complimented her glasses she repeated herself. It saddened me tbh
Anyways she talked about how she'd seen an actual model who was as short as me but with hair down to her hips. I let her go on and asked if she'd like to sit on the bench since it was so hot, and we sat. She asked if I was going to college, and I said that I wasn't, that I'd graduated a year or two ago. She was surprised, said I carried myself with more maturity than she'd ever seen with someone my age. That was very flattering, often my stature causes me to be treated younger than I usually am, but this woman did the complete opposite. It was refreshing.
She told me about how she'd be going to college again when she paid off her previous debts, that she wanted to go into cosmetology and when even older, become a lawyer because she liked the paperwork. She apologized for pausing to see if the bus had arrived and I of course excused her, said she didn't have to make eye contact with me, that I don't mind.
When the bus did arrive we sat together and kept talking. I told her about how I wanted to be a marine biologist, and she said "You're going to do that, I can tell in your eyes. You've got the passion that people need for that." The kindness was almost overwhelming, I tried to find a default response but truthfully I was speechless.
The conversation moved on to autism. She said that maybe in the future, there will be a cure, but she doesn't know if she would want to take it. She knew some people wanted one but others didn't. She knew it caused her seizures and that she got bullied and judged for it. I soon learned her understanding of autism was that it was a "permanent damage" to the brain. That coupled with her insisting that she could never be as pretty as me was sad, that she had so much self loathing for herself but gave so much love to other people.
I told her my own understanding of autism, that yes there are struggles but overall it's just the brain being wired differently. There isn't anything wrong with us, others just have to learn to accommodate us and be kind to us. She seemed to feel better and agreed, and said that us autistic women have to stick together and offered a fist bump. I didn't have the heart to tell her I wasn't a woman. I smiled and agreed and accepted the fist bump.
We talked until she got off at her stop, she said "I love you", made a heart with her hands as the bus left and I returned it through the window.
Even though I felt awkward trying to find the right responses in our conversation it made my day better. She was so sweet and it breaks my heart that she's ignored so much. I'm lucky to be relatively low needs, she has to deal with so much more than I ever did and she bashes herself and her appearance for it.
She improved my day, and I hope I improved hers. It feels good to know you aren't alone, and I hope that feeling is mutual. I never even got her name. I hope she's doing well.
Unfortunately SplatoonNA didn’t give us a heads up for the upcoming challenges so I couldn’t do the usual posts. Not sure if they gonna still post to twitter with the whole brand change but we’ll see.
First pornbot today, they found me :(
Be aware! A new challenge has been announced on the 24 - 25June. Splatoon NA hasn’t posted it officially yet but Splatoon JP has! It’s basically splatzones in fog. Splatoon NA seems to post theirs a day before.
