MUTATION: placebo can create vivid hallucinations, primarily the visual type. so his ability to induce sensory hallucinations still falls short in comparison. he is also able to solidify his hallucinations, though these are more by chance than anything given his lack of proper control. all this can usually be done through eye contact or skin to skin contact. with the combination of both making it more effective.

BACKSTORY….
unapproachable. bitter. nihilistic. losing out on his only chance to attend his dream university (and subsequently, his dream life) has left placebo angry at the world. he currently deals the mutant drug, kick, under opium, and is addicted to the substance itself as it makes his hallucinations all the more lucid.
placebo still can’t figure out what he did to deserve this. since young, he’s been the golden boy. #1 in academics and popularity, he’s always been well-loved and never abused or used his power to cheat in life. and yet, he was flat out rejected by his dream school. it was only months later that he found out that the reason behind it had been because of him being a mutant. the first ever real “failure” in his life thus led to a total personality change, as placebo feels cheated and ultimately hateful towards a society that is designed to set mutants like him up to fail.
RELATIONS…
OPIUM — opium spends 75% of his time making sure placebo does as he’s told and doesn’t act out; warning the younger over and over again about the risks of drawing attention to them and their organization. placebo, for the most part, disregards his partner’s scoldings.
MORPH — they met at a house party and while morph had initially turned down the offer of taking kick, he still has placebo’s number in his phone and the ‘free sample’ stuffed somewhere in one of his sneakers.
HUNTER — after bumping into each other in a pro-mutant rally (which he was forced to go to), hunter had offered placebo a spot in the underground under the condition that he cleans up his act. placebo, on the other hand, could care less about the underground and their soft approach in this ‘war’.
