I'm trying to work more on my own schedule with my writing, but here are a few things I'd like to work on more in 2025.

I still want to finish and release One of the Boys, though likely in the summer. I'm envisioning releasing Odd Job (yes that's still happening), possibly after a pass from Patty if she's down to play my normie werewolf lesbian game, first. I want to see what happens if I put things out when they actually take place.

I'm working on a few other things I'm excited about for different reasons. Subroutine gets into some #girlboss family abolition robot themes, [as yet untitled Camila Cabello project yes really] lets me do more with artistically & ethically dubious lesbian pop girl debauchery, and I have even more erotica somewhere worth working on. I also finished a lot of short erotica on stream in 2024, though its fate is still unknown!

A fellow author who has published one of the few existing Merchant retellings of any merit (Dahlia Adler, with I Bleed) also recently encouraged me to work on Act With You in earnest—that's my strange little Shylock-goes-to-high-school retelling that will probably be long and upsetting and not a little muddled with my personal religious problems. I need to return to Jewish fiction and the big looming question of what that even means, particularly for me, particularly right now.

I'd also like to finish the Purim story I have in my back pocket sometime in the next thirty years. While we're dreaming big!

"He loves only gold! ONLY GOOOOOOLD!"

Let that be a lesson to all you blockbuster filmmakers out there. If you want to get the audience's attention, hire Shirley Bassey to belt out spoilers while shots from the movie project onto a nude woman's gold skin.

It’s particularly hard to pick a favorite moment in GOLDFINGER since the entire movie is stacked with exactly what you’d want in an EON-produced flick about Her Majesty’s best secret agent. GOLDFINGER is the definitive Bond picture - it solidified the formula that every sequel has so closely followed. It may not be my own personal favorite, but it's damn near close. You have Oddjob, Pussy Galore, her entourage of flying female aviators, a gold-obsessed villain with a crotch-crocheting laser, a sleepy army, a bomb that goes up to 007, a tricked-out Aston Martin, and John Barry's brassy fanfare.

Is there one scene that sums up this picture? If anything, I’ll have to go with James Bond's discovery of Jill Masterson’s gold painted body. It’s THE image that is still used to sell the movie.

If you’ve never seen a Bond movie, spend your next two hours with this finger.
