Dankvart Dreyer (June 13, 1816 - 1852) was a Danish landscape painter, who died young from typhus. He had shown promise at the Royal Academy of Art, winning two silver medals, but his depressive nature prevented him from traveling abroad and developing further.

He did travel to the West Coast of Jutland, as witnessed by this atmospheric canvas:
