The deceptively silly hero called Odd Man is a private investigator and crimefighter from the mean streets of River City. His bizarre, mis-matched clothing, madcap mannerisms and high-tech gadgetry serve to befuddle and humiliate the crooks he goes up against, literally turning the underworld upside-down and giving him the necessary edge to prevail. It’s been intimated that The Odd Man may possess a degree of extra sensory perception; that he is at least somewhat aware that he is a comic book character inhabiting a fictional world. The Odd Man first appeared in Detective Comics #487 (1979).
