I believe it was mentioned when Gern was introduced that Tofor does lack a tail as well, which probably also had to do with some of the hostile aside from the usual metallic/chromatic schtick.
I’d have to rewatch the episode with Gern (which I should do anyway, he’s hilarious and newly more relevant) but that would make sense. I’m not sure Draconia actually has a metallic/chromatic divide though? We’ve seen them all working together and Tiberius at least indicated that he was the only chromatic out of his entire family and he got along fine with them. Which also tells us that genetics don’t apparently play much role in determining scale color among dragonborn, so it’s probably not worthwhile to them to discriminate about it (not that that’s ever stopped people).

What if the conclave never attacked? What if the Tibs arc involved abolishing slavery? Or at the very least, disrupting the establishment enough get the wheels rolling? Imagine the impact of a skywalker fighting for an entire slave caste.
I mean, I guess? Here’s the thing: I’m 100% certain that if told Draconia was a slave state, Orion would find it abhorrent and immediately be against it. But realistically, Tiberius never gave any indication that HE found it abhorrent (because Orion didn’t know about it) so I’d be more interested to see Tiberius go from a position of privilege and being completely fine with it to being forced into a place where he needs to wise up because this is it. This is all that’s left, there is no more Draconia, there is only this. You can work with the Ravenites (and I’d love to know the origin behind that name) and respect them or you can take a hike.
That’s better character growth to me, the gradual realization and overcoming or prejudice, rather than doing an instant 180 on his “my homeland is awesome” stance. Just like Percy needed time to understand that vengeance didn’t really make him feel better and Vex still needs time to understand that money and a title don’t make her any greater than she already was.
Incidentally, I haven’t watched any of Draconia Knights and I don’t plan to, but if anybody has, can they tell me how Orion’s Draconia compares to Matt’s?
