where did you get the idea for oddbeat? i'm actually curious!

HE JUST KINDA
happened
i just started drawing beat being a weirdo so obsessed with spraypainting/graffiti that he eATS THE CANS AND LICKS THE PAINT
plus my touch of liking to draw sharkteeth and long tongues, and i wanted to also add some style by making his goggles expressive! I was experimenting with my style at the time too and tried a lot of weird quirkiness
Eventually [to my forgotten knowledge] he earned the name oddbeat, and then Oddy. I dont think i agreed to that at first bc i remember being like NOOOO HES "BEAT" CALL HIM BEAT
BUT IT STUCK
and now its gone from me "just drawing him that way" to him actually having a reason for it. ye, he's got a story. it turned into an au [by accident] BUT HEY you dont have to swing with it bc details are optional and i dont bring them out all the time
