Oddly Sad

I hardly get on here any more, so out of curiosity I looked through the list of everyone I’m following, and so many of these blogs look dead. A huge number of them haven’t posted in a year or more but I can’t bring myself to unfollow most of them (and some are my friends IRL so I’m not going to). It’s been years since I joined so they’re kind of nostalgic. There’s one girl who hasn’t posted in five years, but when I joined this site, she was a regular. Some of their URLs have changed and I don’t recognize people that I may have considered tumblr friends; I also can’t tell if maybe they just aren’t on here any more. Quite a few of these blogs had really great content that I earnestly looked forward to in their heyday. In my case, my work situation changed and I didn’t have as much time for this as I used to, so I assume that’s what happened with these folks. Maybe they’re on one of the other multitudes of social media that I also don’t have time for. Some of them were younger than me and have probably become busy with college or work life and just don’t have the time or interest any more. Who knows. Not sure what the point of this post is, other than to point out how odd and depressing the passage of time can be.

Well I found out today people had made bets about my relationships and the sad fact is no one won. :(
