   feeling arms wrap around her made her jump and almost squeal , but she managed to not let that noise escape her . she would ‘ ve returned the hug had he not gotten her arms into the hug as well ; it was like being stuck in a big , cute and cuddly bear trap . just … less pain .

   hana let out a surprised but delighted laugh , bonking her head against his in reciprocation as best she could . she had been feeling a little lonely , actually . having a best friend like deke in the military was incredibly rare . she felt lucky .

     honestly , hana could barely contain her snickers and giggles herself . how he had managed to go so long without breaking was beyond her . though upon the 7th cake , he snapped and she did too , his laughter contagious .

     she plucked a ricecake up and took a bite , still eating despite her big grin .
