Odds and Ends

Blue was hurt. That much she understood, her whole body seemed to throb as she stumbled further into the thick forest she had found herself in. It felt as though the girl had been thrown, with an substantial amount of force, from a high cliff, which when put into perspective, didn't seem too irrational. She stopped for a few seconds, resting her head against the rough bark of an aside tree and decided she needed some course of action before going any further. Taking the muted opportunity of a rest to do a damage report, she was easily able to identify a few things, bruised ribs were almost certain, every breath hurt. Minor bruising was apparent, almost as though she’d been beaten by a few dozen angry pirates. She figured if she continued walking, she would either stumble upon someone or find she was completely alone. Letting out a sigh, she pushed herself from the comfort of the tree and continued forward.
It felt as though it had been an eternity of Blue walking with nothing but the song of some strange bird and the overwhelming schism of her thoughts, a building crept into the girls peripheral vision. The happiness that thrummed through her veins was almost indescribable, this meant there had to be others, others capable of building structures. The girl wrapped her left arm around her waist, in order to relieve a little pressure from her ribs and began slowly walking towards the small sign of other life. Blue made sure to keep a look out, just in case this was some kind of trap, it was at this point she stopped, frowning softly. Straining her ears, the only thing audible was the ringing in her ears, she shook her head, labelling her thoughts as irrational and continuing for her original destination.
Blue rounded a corner, finding a small entrance, she winced letting out a shaky breath. It felt as though she was about to walk into the sabotage of the century another scowl clouded her face, was it correct to not be questioning the motives of a cabin in the middle of the woods on some mysterious island? Throwing all caution to the wind the girl pushed the door open, only to find it to be empty. She mapped it out to be some kind of infirmary, and figures she would be able to patch herself up. Taking a few shaky steps forward, the girl began searching rifling through a few odd draws, only to hear the door creaking open. Cursing aloud the girl froze, clenching her fists as she turns to face the door.
