I was telling @ramshacklerumble over the weekend that I had this mental image of what it might look like with the four of them hanging out together. A tangled mess and yet somehow all functioning simultaneously.

Don't know if this has been asked, but when Gia, Ace and Floyd started dating, we're Jamil/Deuce/Jade dragged around as a fourth wheel? I can very much see scenarios where Gia's hanging with the basketball club and Jamil's just sitting to the side like "damn gotta watch out for these three now."

so! timeline wise, the polycule doesn't start polyculing technically until after they're all out of NRC. gia and floyd start seeing each other at the end of gia's sophomore year (when floyd's a junior).

the relationship becomes long distance when floyd heads off for his senior internship and it's not until after ace's SDC in junior year that he and gia finally get involved.

we get to THEIR senior internship and both relationships are long distance until ace and gia decide to move in together after graduation (and floyd pokes his head in to be like hey i want in)

which leads to the creation of the dragon roll house on the shores of the sunshine lands.

and it's not until THAT happens and they're all largely living under the same roof that ace and floyd's dynamic gets murky beyond that of simply being metamours

(then later down the line we get @tixdixl's kingsley who ALSO ends up being pulled into this via gia and floyd)

anyway i bring this all up because it actually takes until gia, ace and floyd are all living together to even realize they've been in a relationship. during nrc days, it's not really that anyone is being dragged along with those three specifically rather than occasionally someone will pick up something is odd when they happen to be in the same room together-- and it's not even romantic at that point.

on the bit about jamil tho, he DOES have that exact thought when it comes to ace, floyd and recent addition to the basketball team, cusi.
