Photowalk in East Berlin May 1990: Stadtbad Oderberger Strasse #believeinfilm the bath was built in the Kaiserzeit (before WWI) and did provide baths and showers for the citizens of the neighbourhood of which many lived in flats without a bathroom. The big basin was already closed then because of water leaks but about a year later when I myself got a flat on a side street around the corner I was happy for the service. Nowadays greatly transformed and renovated - have yet to see it!
