this is just a headcanon of mine but i think that nicky's dad really suppressed the latino part of him (the part where his father "rescued" his mother from mexico" and his mom taught him a lot abt mexican culture but his dad undermined it so after he left his parents and was with eric he wanted to really find who he is and thats when he started really embracing being mexican and all that heritage and he's super proud of his heritage

honestly i wouldnt be surprised if that bastard luther did that. i can def see nicky being super proud of being mexican! and also mixing mexican and german traditions together. one thing that i’ve always thought about was nicky wanting to surprise erik and so he does like a mexican-german food fusion night( how well that goes idk!)

ok but what does he do with jeremy's trading cards? burns them? sends them to kevin? sends them to kevin cut in half? keeps one for himself bc he kinda likes the dude? sends exactly one card that is not in two pieces only for kevin to realize that it was taped together and its been cut in half the whole time? yes

he collects all his friends and tbh, neil has to keep in contact with jean so becoming friends with jeremy is an unintentional side effect. (jeremy takes one look at neil and adopts him. same.)

andrew is the one who mails kevin the trading cards. he doesn’t sign anything or send them with a letter he just. mails kevin the trading cards. kevin isn’t sure what to do with this. it’s about 80% of his communication with andrew until neil stops buying the packs of cards. “andrew, it’s not funny,” he says, a few months in. andrew informs him it wasn’t meant to be.

kevin accepts that he does not, never has, and never will understand andrew minyard.

another headcanon: nicky trying to make mexican hot chocolate from scratch in germany bc they dont sell abuelita hot chocolate there and having eric test it until he found the right recipe :)

this so cute!yes thank you for this!also, when erik finally visits him in the us i bet he finally makes him some hot chocolate with actual abuelita chocolate ( andrew probs drinks most of it but at least erik gets to try it)
