So I checked out this art book from the library, "Art Nouveau Drawings: the works of Mucha, Beardsley, Redon, Rodin, Klimt and other important Art Nouveau artists"
And you have a general sense of the aesthetic of Art Nouveau, yeah? Flowing lines, gorgeous women, fin de siecle/ Gilded Age etc etc

And I'd like you to know that this wikimedia picture is much brighter than the one in the book! Which is so dark and gloomy that I didn't realize the spider has a face!
