I recently finish listening to the audiobook of “Norse Mythology” by Neil Gaiman. Wow! A terrific book. I’ve always loved Greek Mythology so it was fun listening to and learning about other mythologies. I highly recommend it. I also recommend filling his tumblr for insights into his work: @neil-gaiman Here’s something funny tho, Gaiman can evoke great images with his words and voice (he read the audio book as well) but with every mention of Odin, Thor and Loki I couldn’t help but picture Anthony Hopkins, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. I finally did some google searches for classic art to reimagine those Norse Gods. These images are by KONSTANTIN VASILYEV, a Russian artist (1942-1976).
