Open Starter: Odo
The security office, as sad as others seemed to find it, had always been the one place that has truly felt like home to him. He'd worked and at least mostly lived there for years. He belonged there. It was safe. So, though it was deeply surprising to him, it would have been no surprise to any one of his friends that that was the place that, after the greatest loss of his life so far, he finally cried.
Odo had never cried before, but once it started, he couldn't stop. His eyes were leaking, his breath was catching unpleasantly, and his shoulders were shaking. It all felt entirely out of his control, which, when he considered it, only seemed to make things even worse.
At the office doors opening, he looked up sharply, his terribly uncontrolled breathing and wet face on display to whoever has decided to come find him at 02:30 hours. "Can- can I h-help you?" And prophets help him, he wasn't even in control of his voice, anymore. How did humanoids stand this?
