Name: Kazeko
Age: 40
Quirk: Oxygen Manipulation
Hero Name: Breathe Easy
Kazeko is a lower ranking Pro Hero, specializing in rescue. Her Quirk allows her to control oxygen on a molecular level, as well as create where there is none. She can use this to suffocate fires, resuscitate people, clear smoke, and even remove the oxygen molecules from water turning them into hydrogen which she can suck up into her bracers, which act like a filter. She can help heal injuries by flooding a person’s bloodstream with more oxygen to help speed up the recovery. (it’s nowhere near as good as Recovery Girl though, all it does is speed up a person’s natural healing process by about 10-15%). She can also hold her breath for a really long time.
She’s super sweet and loves people. She can talk and talk for hours, and is always eager to help out someone in need. Once she had Sanka, she made him her priority, being a mom first and a hero second. She cares deeply about her son, even if he acts standoffish to her. She doesn’t care about his rude attitude towards her, because she knows deep down that he’s a good kid. She’s a U.A. alumni, and she was able to get him in the entrance exam by pulling a few strings(she’s well-liked so it wasn’t too hard).

Quirk: Brass
Odoken works in a shop that specializes in making armor, accessories, and weaponry for Pro Heroes. He knows his way around a forge, and is actually a pretty good designer too. The shop has been around for generations, having been run by his family the entire time. He comes from a line of metal-based Quirks. In his family it was customary to marry someone with a Quirk relating to metal. Odoken was the first to break this tradition by marrying Kazeko. His family was disappointed, but accepted it(seeing as Kazeko was a Pro Hero and a total sweetie). The family does have a bit of a problem with Sanka though, seeing as his Quirk was weakened because of the mix, they see him as sort of a black sheep.
Odoken’s Quirk is pretty similar to Sanka’s, he has a brass skeleton, as well as brass hands and forearms. He can control the brass within his own body, but can also control other brass, as long as he comes into contact with it. This allows him to be able to completely shut Sanka down, seeing as he can control the metal within his body. He’s also strong af.
His son takes after him in alot of ways personality-wise: brashness, stubborn, pride, arrogance. They were especially similar when he was young, but after meeting Kazeko he calmed down alot. Sanka and Odoken get into alot of fights because they butt-heads all the time. They don’t mind some harmless hand-to-hand(usually ending up breaking furniture or electronics when they do so), but when it gets too serious, he can completely immobilize Sanka with just a pat on the back.
The two met when Kazeko came into his shop to get some work done on her equipment. They fell for each other almost immediately and were together ever since.
Sanka has alot of problems with his parents, but mostly his mom. Alot of it is simple teen angst, but there are issues that lay deeper. He kind of resents his mom for diluting his Quirk with hers. He didn’t really gain anything from her oxygen powers other than well oxygenated blood(his wounds can heal like a day faster than a normal persons but that’s it). He’s always trying to prove himself despite this. He’ll overwork himself while training basically out of spite. He hates that because of her, the power he inherited from his dad is weaker.
Because of her being a Pro Hero, Sanka has seen that side of the world. He knows alot about the hero organizations because of her, and has met alot of Pro Heroes. He’s decided he doesn’t want to be a hero because of all this, he’s seen that even the pros are just people, deep down. He knows that they aren’t these almighty beings, and he thinks that society should just be able to take care of itself without them lording over.
Because of these views, his bad attitude, and tendency towards violence, Sanka got kicked out of two schools(one being a private boarding school where he punched a girl in the nose). He’s gone through counseling, therapy, and even ‘scared straight’ programs to “fix” him. The worst though, was when a teacher told his parents that if he were to continue down the path he was on, he’d end up a villain.
Kazeko has done everything in her power to help him, and sending him to U.A. is her last option. She hopes that he’ll learn something by going there, and decide to become a hero like her. The only reason why Sanka continues going is so he can hone his skills and prove his worth(mostly to himself), by becoming something, at this point he doesn’t care what.
(Spoiler alert: he’s gonna become a vigilante)
Sanka’s issues with girls and women also stem from his resentment of his mom. He doesn’t trust women and thinks that most of them are just annoying.
