what i've learned from cramming on the early roman authors
(yes, i am using this as means of procrastination instead of actually writing)
(for all intents and purposes many of these are JOKES)
(also if there's any factual inaccuracies errr too bad)
cato the elder hates fun and happiness
the original (known) roman translation of the odyssey was called the odyssia/odyssea
roman authors liked to live with each other
the "og" aeneid (not actually) was called annales, written by quintus ennius
these guys really liked dramatics
marcus pacuvius has a loooooooooooot of surviving lines
if i have to memorize any more of this i will lose my mind
gnaeus naevius wrote the first entirely-roman (non greek-inspired) epic
love you guys and i hope this doesn't drive me to insanity!
