Hey, could you do some damirae fluff, please? I love your writting, it makes my day :)
The room was eerily quiet, just the soft hum of the lights above them. Damian was turning over another page from the book in front of him, looking almost defeated. They had been at this for hours, a stack of papers and books in front of them. Raven was thumbing through an old tome that Damian had pilfered from The League, and she felt like the whole situation was hopeless.
Sighing, she reached for the tea kettle, finding it empty. Damian groaned and closed the book, trying to think of another way to keep himself pulled together or at least stay focused.
“This feels pointless. Like we’re not going forward past the first few parts.” He leaned back in his chair and took a few deep breaths. “If I were Jason I would say I need a drink.”
Raven’s smile tilted to the side, and she closed her own book. “We should take a break.”
Damian glanced up at her from the tea kettle. “We’ve barely made any headway. There are a hundred more things for us to research and-”
Raven did nothing more than press her lips together, effectively shutting him up. She glanced outside the room and watched the thick clouds open, sending soft cottony flakes of snow down to earth. It was strangely peaceful and quiet, and for a moment it felt like they were in another world. Their space was quiet, just like they liked it, and there were a hundred things she wished she had the strength to tell him.
Instead, she pulled her sweater tighter around her and moved a few inches closer. Silence fell over them like a familiar blanket, and Raven let her knee fall against theirs. Minutes passed quietly, with them both watching the snow drift to the earth, and then…
“Maybe I do need this.”
Damian’s hand brushed her own, loosely linking their fingers.
“More than I realized.”
