The thing is, you're right when you say that being aggressive towards other races you actually increase hatred and such, but you should not victimize yourself for being white and getting paired with the ones that are actual assholes, instead it's just better to ignore things that are made for poc by poc (ie. Memes, etc.) and give a bigger voice to content for general audiences created by poc (ie. Documentaries about black history, books, and comics created by poc)
The later being like when you come across those posts that say something like: "white people you can reblog, but do not interact" because it is just not your time to put input, it's time to listen.
But yeah... It is not polite to treat ppl like that and it does just brews more hate. 🖤
I’m rly far down the hole of hating the entire concept of marriage in Pakistani culture and at this point it’s depressing and scary to me to imagine myself married to a guy in that context but you know instead of something built on restrictive, flawed conceptions of ownership and gender roles, if I was in a regular, healthy fucking relationship with a guy I’d be cool w/ it (although in general I still prefer girls just bc. you know that inherent understanding I’m just more comfortable with)
and it doesn’t help that the only person I’m out to in my immediate family told me that I’m going to have to get arranged married if I don’t find a guy in university (as if to scare me?) so now I’m actively looking into running away which is an absolute nightmare in and of itself...even though my entire life it’s been sugarcoated as “marry who you want sweetie!!11!1!1!” like now I realize it’s just that they’re not going to force me to marry someone, they’re just going to make me go through the same repetitive, depressing ass process of rishta culture and I am not here to live with my parents until I’m 30 with no freedom, I will not, I would rather die.
